Kaylin Carrera believes dance is more than movement — it is a language, a practice, and a path inward. Rooted in the somatic principles she studied under modern dance pioneer Bill Evans, her teaching goes beyond technique to awaken the whole body's intelligence. She guides dancers to move from the inside out: from sensation, intention, and genuine expression rather than the pursuit of steps alone.
Contemporary faculty at The Sarasota Ballet's Margaret Barbieri Conservatory, NBC adjudicator and master teacher, and YAGP award-winning choreographer — Kaylin's work is a sustained argument that dance, at its highest, is a connection to self. She develops artists who are technically fearless and deeply alive in their bodies.
